“Mindfulness Loving Kindness Meditation Practice for Our Daily Lives”
Join us in welcoming Khenpo on his first visit to the Hawaii Island.
Khenpo Karma Tenkyong is a senior teacher in the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, and a representative of that lineage in the West. He is a dynamic teacher committed to protecting nature and spreading Dharma blessings to children and adults everywhere. As a bridge between ancient ways and modern needs, Khenpo Tenkyong meets students where they are, helping them build strong and lasting foundations for wisdom to arise. Skilled in meditation, yoga and cultivating reverence for our Mother Earth, Khenpo shares a steady presence and deep wisdom through all of his teachings.

Flow Yoga classes are playful and non-dogmatic, focusing on precision and alignment while moving fluidly in synchronicity with one’s breath. All experience levels are welcome and students are always encouraged to modify the practice as needed.
Hooda has been a lifelong yoga enthusiast, teaching to a range of audiences since 1998. With a background in psychology and counseling she has seen how body awareness and focusing on breath can enhance one’s perspective and sense of well-being. She is committed to helping others find the presence, strength, and joy that yoga and mindfulness can provide.
Hooda’s enthusiasm and passion for yoga are apparent in her teaching. Inspired by teachers of the Ashtanga, Iyengar and Flow systems, Hooda integrates form and fluidity in her teaching. She believes in meeting the students where they are at, enhancing mindfulness through many modalities, and adjusting to make practice accessible to everyone. Her classes are non-dogmatic and playful, providing a challenging and compassionate space in which to explore one’s potentials. E-RYT 500, H.BA Psych.

Iyengar Yoga, a traditional alignment-based practice, geared to the individual needs and capabilities of each student so that the physical, mental and spiritual benefits associated with the practice of the eight limbs of yoga become a tool to living a more fulfilling life.
Reagan Breen is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (Level 1 CIYT) with over 35 years of dedicated practice. She began her yoga journey at age 15 and became certified in 2018 after studying extensively with Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers. Reagan is also a Certified Life Coach and professional clairvoyant, integrating these practices to support healing, transformation, and well-being. She believes yoga fosters vitality, grace, and a deep connection to self, and she is passionate about empowering others to achieve greater health and wholeness.
Joanne Murray, a native New Yorker, has called the Big Island home since 1972, drawn by her love of surfing. She began her yoga journey in 1993 with certified Iyengar instructor Darina Archer, founder of Big Island Yoga Center. Inspired by the benefits to her health and well-being, Joanne pursued teacher training with Aadil Palkhivala in 1996, completed training with Iyengar teacher Ray Madigan (Level 3), and graduated from BIYC’s 200-hour teacher training in 2010 with Jennifer Weinert. Dedicated to personal growth and yoga philosophy, Joanne shares her passion with her students. She also embraces her “earthly dharma” in agriculture, raising queen bees for global export.







The Seder
Past EventsIn Jewish/Hebrew tradition, the Passover Seder celebrates the “coming out of bondage into freedom.” This will be an inclusive celebration, and all spiritual traditions are welcome!
The Ceremonies will start at 5:30 pm with traditional candle lighting by the women, followed by the Seder Feast. Our host is former Mayor Mitch Roth. Everyone will participate in the reading of the Haggadah.
