Experience Harmony in Nature

Prepare to be transported by the exquisite sounds of a woodwind quintet in one of Hawaii’s most serene settings. We are thrilled to invite you to a unique musical afternoon featuring the West Hawaii Woodwind Quintet, presented as part of the Kamuela Philharmonic’s dedicated Small Ensemble Program.

In Jewish/Hebrew tradition, the Passover Seder celebrates the “coming out of bondage into freedom.” This will be an inclusive celebration, and all spiritual traditions are welcome!
The Ceremonies will start at 5:30 pm with traditional candle lighting by the women, followed by the Seder Feast. Our host is former Mayor Mitch Roth. Everyone will participate in the reading of the Haggadah.

Embark on a captivating journey into the origins of our Universe alongside retired NASA astronomer and COBE mission leader, Dr. Richard Isaacman. This immersive slideshow presentation features breathtaking, high-resolution imagery captured by the Hubble and James Webb telescopes, offering a rare look at the cosmic radiation from the Big Bang itself.

Enjoy an intimate afternoon of live piano at Paleaku Peace Gardens with composer and pianist Philip Howard. Philip will perform a one-hour concert of original compositions designed to expand the heart, inspire the mind, and stir emotion in a peaceful garden setting.

On Saturday, February 14 at 10:30 AM, Big Island Yoga Center invites you to a special Heart Chakra–focused Iyengar Yoga class at Paleaku Peace Gardens, led by BIYC teacher Joanne Murray.
This gentle offering emphasizes supported, mindful movement using blankets and bolsters to help students safely hold poses, explore areas of tightness, and soften both body and mind. The practice will encourage release—moving out the old—and creating space for clarity, ease, and new possibilities.

Features Dr. Richard Isaacman, a retired NASA astronomer and former Maunakea Observatory staff scientist.
This astronomy lecture at Paleaku Gardens Peace Sanctuary is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, from 11:00 am to noon.
Topic: A deep dive into the history and current findings in the search for extraterrestrial life, highlighting data from the Hubble and Webb space telescopes and advanced ground-based observatories.

Experience an afternoon of “Magic, Harmony, and Expression” at the beautiful Paleaku Peace Gardens. We are thrilled to host the Hawaii Horn Ensemble, a unique 10-person French Horn group, for a special live performance.

The ensemble will perform a diverse program featuring classical and pop favorites, including iconic hits from The Beatles and Queen.
