Butterfly Garden

News

Creating the new Butterfly installation was inspired by the idea of the Butterfly Effect. The Butterfly Effect rests on the notion that the world is deeply connected, such that one small occurrence can influence a much larger complex system. The turmoil of the world is such that I thought that this small gesture would aid in bringing harmony and peace. All that come to visit this beautiful butterfly garden will take with them the nectars of harmony. Hopefully, each will carry it far and develop the fruits into Kindness and Aloha.

YEARLY EVENT:  Seder with Mayor Mitch Roth and Community Seder is a Hebrew Traditional Feast that Celebrates Freedom. This is a multi-sectarian event open to everyone. It is known in Christianity as the “Last Supper”. In April 2023, we welcomed Rabbi Rachel Short.

    In Jewish/Hebrew tradition, the Passover Seder celebrates the “coming out of bondage into freedom.” This will be an inclusive celebration, and all spiritual traditions are welcome!
    The Ceremonies will start at 5:30 pm with traditional candle lighting by the women, followed by the Seder Feast. Our host is former Mayor Mitch Roth. Everyone will participate in the reading of the Haggadah.
