Meander through seven acres of a tropical botanical paradise nestled within the heart of South Kona with expansive views overlooking Kealakekua Bay and the National Park Place of Refuge.

Our mission is to offer a sanctuary for the advancement of individuals toward peace and harmony.

Paleaku Gardens invites individuals and groups to experience the peaceful beauty of this unique botanical garden setting. Visit greenhouses that display an array of tropical plants and orchids. Walk paths that weave through beautiful vistas and private sitting spaces.

Explore the World’s first galaxy garden. View ancient Hawaiian petroglyphs and Tibetan Sand Paintings. Walk a Labyrinth and a native American Medicine wheel. Macadamia nut orchards, mango groves, and a variety of fruit trees with mature Palms shade the garden making a pleasant walking tour amongst the monuments and statuary that grace the Gardens. A small admission fee is charged.

New Butterfly Garden

We are excited to present our new Butterfly Garden. This walk-through experience offers you the opportunity to get up close with beautiful butterflies. Walk among brilliantly colored, free-flying tropical and native Hawaiian butterflies that flutter about—and may even land on you!

Local Artist & Crafts

You will be delighted by the addition of our souvenir area filled by our local artist & farmers with crafts including cards, giclee’s, pottery, coffee, macadamia nuts and more.

“A luscious and relaxing garden with something for adults and children. Easy to access for people with reduced mobility, mostly wheelchair friendly. The garden has several vistas and “rooms” with different focus there’s a mandala room för contemplating. A galaxy garden modeled after Milky Way. Several Buddhist stupas and rock labyrinths invites to meditation. We easily spend a few hours here smelling the flowers and enjoying the shade.” – Joacim

“This is such a beautiful and creatively designed place. It requires paid admission and is very worth it. Throughout the complex, there are so many varieties of plant life with placards that identify the species and their origination, while many of them being intertwined within a unique display or format.
